Hi everyone, how lovely this forum is available, I look forward to reading and learning lots from you all, thank you.

My name is Karen & I am 49 years young, I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes in July and to be honest I slumped into deep depression, I feel like everything is out of control and to top it off the diabetic nurse said my cholesterol was a bit high at 5.5 on Monday.

I have no idea how to use a forum and wasn't sure where and how to fill in the suggested information that the administrator posted, please can anyone help guide me in the right direction?

Hello Karen,

Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure you'll find it helpful.

I find all this computer stuff is a bit complicated too. I suggest:

From home page of Forums, click on first forum - Greetings and Introductions.
Go down to bottom of that page and click on green button ( bottom right) Post New Thread. Then introduce yourself briefly and ask for any help wanted.

Then I hope you'll get more response.

You can then ask specific questions, etc by starting Threads. Not necessary to fill in that suggested information if you don't want to at the moment. What you've written here is really clear and shows you have much in common with many other forum members.

See if that works for you - get back to me if any more questions on getting started.

I haven't been told a lot by my doctor apart from eating a healthy diet and keeping active which i already do so i've searched about diabetes on the internet and found this site which looks good so far.
