Oh yes Hermesetas/saccharin is very fake, no getting away from that, and probably one of those chemical compounds that Mother Nature never intended us to eat in any great quantity lol! I really wish I could love stevia, and maybe if I were to try some of the liquid options that might be better, but saccharin is the only sweetener I actually actively enjoy (yeah, I know I'm weird!) I've thought of trying monkfruit but it's a wee bit pricey at the moment - if I could find a natural sweetener I liked at the right price that would certainly be more paleo-friendly (I tend to follow a 90% plan where I can squeeze 10% non-paleo foods in - these forbidden items include saccharin, soy sauce and the odd can of diet sprite.) Sugar alcohols are, however, the devils food as far as my digestion is concerned, and stand at the top of the demonic fake sugar heirarchy for me. They're also everywhere in commercial low carb goodies it seems. I prefer my own homemade chocolate fat bombs personally, and berries with whipped cream are indeed a delight! Oh, and funny you should mention cinnamon, I'm discovering this treasure fully now in such as pumpkin cupcakes and buttery keto fudge! Cinnamon seems to have a sweetness all its own so you need less extra sweetening (perhaps none in some recipes).
