My goal is to keep off insulin for as long as i can.</p><p>The cause of my original diagnoses concluded that i had glandular feaver 20 years earlier this compromised my immune system.</p><p>I read a lot about food, diabetes, and nutrition, i am not neurotic about it i was given some advice by a friendly nurse, she advised me the best thing i can do for my diabetes is to keep my levels at a good level, to do this i should monitor the blood, by taking a reading before a meal, then 2 hours after, this will indicate how effective the meal has been.
