I found this site yesterday and have found it a wee bit difficult to find out how to post something on the site (introductions etc) I'm still not sure if this is the right place for it, but here goes. I have been living in Finland for 36 years or so and I'm now 73. A former sportsman, PE teacher and coach in the UK. After moving to Finland I continued to be physically active learning to do cross country skiing as well as coaching gymnastics. Not being native to this country the language and culture were very different. Life became quite stressful and has continued to be so. Which I believe may have contributed to the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. I love to read and listen to good music from classical to folk music. Yuja Wang on Piano, Liang Wang on cello, John Williams on guitar. Also like Tom Paxton, Dougie MacLean, the Macalmans etc. Throughout my life I have continued to study many subjects, PE, biology, Psychology, TEFL, Theology and classical Hebrew and Koine (New Testament Greek) Recently I took up woodworking again. Started the low carb diet in December 2017 after watching a TED talk on it by an American lady Doctor and was impressed. Already showing good results after about 3 weeks. All the best to everyone for a healthy and happy new year.
