[QUOTE="Roulis, post: 1937662, member: 496728"] Hello everyone. I just found this site and already logged on! I am overwhelmed with the information and help that one can get from this site!I am new to this also, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 7 weeks ago. If I've got the terminology correct the value of the blood test which confirm the diagnoses of Type 2 was HbA1c 50. To be honest I did not believe it to begin with, if anything it actually made me extremely angry - don't know why- especially when I was told that the condition is here to stay for the rest of my days and that there was no return! Furthermore the nurse told me that it is more than likely that I will have to go on medication to treat it, and possibly (not certainty) that I could end up with insulin at some point later on in life! At that point, I must admit I was fuming! It took me more than a week to accept it, even now it gets me!
