Before the questionnaire, I would like to mention I have been diagnosed with T1 back in late 1997, whist I still lived in Brazil. My treatment was what you would expect from a third world country, even though I used to live in/near Sao Paulo. All has changed to much better since I've moved to Cambridge around 17 years ago. I've completed the DAFNE training, started counting carbs, etc. For the last 2 years I've been on a closed loop treatment with the Tandem t:slim X2 pump + Dexcom G6 CGM. It definitely improved my control even more, with my BG staying between 85-92% of the time in range. But I've been placed on the pump treatment mainly because I gradually lost my perception of when my levels are going too low while I am at sleep, culminating with me rushed to A&E with seizures twice (luckily my wife woke up and called the ambulance on these occasions). Now to the questions... - Include a photo here if you wish to. That guy there, on the left. - What is your name? Emerson. - How old are you? 45. - Are you male or female?
