<blockquote data-quote="Wilma0823" data-source="post: 437611" data-attributes="member: 86712"><p>Hi my name is Wilma I am 50 yrs old I live in West Lothian in Scotland I am married with , three children two boys aged 30 and28 yrs old who have their own houses thank god, and a teenage daughter aged 16yrs old who is sitting five higher's at present and stressing us all out lol we have a large Rottweiler X GS dog who is a big baby and we all love, I am to be a gran in May 2014.</p><p>I have been diabetic for nearly 17 years gestational first, then type two due to polycystic ovearies was put on metformin very high doze by the endocrinologist but managed for a good few years then seen by diabetic consultant at St Johns Hospital told to change over to that department by him what a mistake that was after several visits taken off metformin put back on taken off again, slipped through the net for a good 7 years went back to my GP about 3/4 years ago wanting a glucose torrent test (and thank god I did) as the readings were very high came back at 17.5 so referred back to diabetic clinic put on insulin humilin m3 metformin and byeta as really ill taken off metformin kept on humilin m3 and byeta but byeta but I was sensitive to byeta put on victoza and humilin M1 went up to the max doze of 1.8 on the victoza stayed on that for 6 months to a year then it stopped working but my sugars have always been high 9.0 etc taken off victoza tried back on Humilin M3 ending up at 80 units morning and 80 at night my sugars have been climbing now sitting at an average 14.5 changed to a 50/50 insulin combi 60 in the morning 60 afternoon and 50 at night average 12 at present for the last two weeks giving it three weeks before I go back to the diabetic nurse see how it goes, the only time my sugars are ok are when I forget to eat or cannot be bothered to eat, over the years my weight has pilled on I am know 19 stone find it hard to do things due to pain neuropathy in feet and hand plus I have thorasic , lumber and hip problems, just had a cataract operation on my right eye, the whole thing only took a year to develop and mature how fast was that. I have high blood pressure 145/95 on pills for the last six years 20mg Lisinoperizil plus chorestrial tablets </p><p>I have asked what will happen if this insulin does not work was told that I would be put on a 24 hour insulin then every time it eat something I would have to inject myself.</p><p>Well that's me thanks for reading</p></blockquote><p></p>
