Hi my name is Liz and I have been diabetic for 30 years. Originally on tablets but now on insulin as well. I also have fibromyalgia and some other problems. I am in my mid 50's; we have no children. We live in a small town in North Wales. I am a carer for my husband who had his second stroke 2 years ago. I love birds (the feathered kind) and currently have two cockatiels and a fish tank. I would love to have a dog but it is not possible at this time. I have a wide interest in music everything from classical opera, folk, to modern. I like Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Garry Barlow, Robbie Williams, ELO; to name just a few. I was a secretary in the NHS until I lost my job through ill health, but I worked in the local rugby club running the bar whilst I went to college to update my office skills before that. I enjoy various crafts, knitting, jewellery, card making and I enjoy going to an art class to improve my painting skills. Watercolour, not painting the house, although I have done that in my time too. Well I think that is enough for now. I look forward to meeting other people on the forum.
