Hello :-) I joined the forums yesterday as I'm trying to educate myself regarding Type 2 and how best to manage it. To be perfectly honest, I have been T2 for several years but have tended to ignore it for the most part, but a recent blood result has shocked me into taking it more seriously. Not sure of the exact name of the test - it measures your long term blood sugar levels - but the target reading is 48% and mine is 96%! :( I am the ultimate carbaholic, and I see this as potentially being my biggest challenge in managing the condition. So, to kick off with, here are my answers to the questions: - What is your name? Christine - How old are you? 56 - Are you male or female? F - Which country are you from? UK (England) - Which city/area do you live in? Surrey - Are you religious? No - Pick three words to describe your personality. Kind, funny, foodie - Do you have any pets? A cat but she doesn't live with me at present because of allergies - Microsoft or Apple? MS for my desktop PC, Apple for everything else. - Which sport(s) (if any) do you like/play? None - Do you get angry easily? No - Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so, where? No - List your five favourite musicians/bands. Too many - What would you say your favourite music genre is? Rock and Classic - What is your favourite flag? Union flag - Ever gone camping? Yes - Ever been in love? Yes - Ever used fake tan? No - Which countries have you visited? France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, USA, Canada, Thailand, Gambia, Morocco - Favourite city? London - List your five favourite TV programmes. Big Bang Theory, Elementary, Friends, Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey - List your five favourite films. Frequency, Lord of the Rings, Random Harvest, It's a Wonderful Life, The Birdcage - Are you wealthy? Not in monetary terms - Do you work? If so, as what? Yes, work from home as tech support on the phone. - List the subjects you study/have studied. History (BA) - What do you like most about yourself? My sense of humour - What do you like least about yourself? I smoke
