My name is Kae Murray. I am excited to be a part of this group. Both parents are diabetics and I was diagnose with gestational. Can anyone share techniques on how to control your blood sugar? I wanted to know what everyone else is using, comment below please.

Hello & welcome!

https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/blog-entry/the-nutritional-thingy.2330/ is what I really saw results with, which is LC/HF. I've gone from low Carb/High Fat to Keto (which is just lowER carb, high fat), and eventually hit on a carnivore diet, which is practically zero carb but not do-able for everyone. But that helped quite a bit with my migraines to boot. A change in diet might be of assistance to you and your parents.

Anyway, again, welcome!
Jo

Oh, one more thing... I don't know if you're currently pregnant or whether the GD is in the past already, but keto, far as I know, isn't advised for pregnant ladies and those breast-feeding. No lower than 50 grams of carbs a day, from what I remember from the dietdoctor website.
