I guess I didn't eat enough carbs yesterday! my BG was 9.1 last test last night which I wasn't happy with but this morning pre breakfast it was 1.4! I thought I had misread the meter at first. However, I resisted the temptation to eat chocolate which I would have loved to have done but I haven't eaten sugary stuff for a month now since being diagnosed. Just had my normal porridge with a little artificial sweetener and took my meds. I have a woozy headache but no other bad signs . Will try and keep to normal low carb diet and see how it goes..........

!.4 sounds a bit startling! Did you try re-testing immediately with another strip?> I had a 13.4 unexpectedly, re-tested immediately and got 8.2! Phoned the meter people, and they said it could be a duff strip, or maybe I squeezed my finger near the puncture so got fluids other than whole blood in the sample....anyone else had this?

I did re test and it was the same. I didn't squeeze either, but still could be a false low. I'm sure I would feel worse than this if the reading was right! I've had a 7.5 that made me feel worse so am not too worried currently. Just going to test a bit more today, just in case, and let my body speak to me as well! Cheers x
