Is always being tired an occupational hazard of a type 1?

Ditto... im on lantus and everything has just gone wrong recently. As well as being knackered all the time my levels are rubbish and all over the place! I give in!

been feeling this lately really bad too, only im on levemir and my numbers lately have been high (10 to 13 mostly) and with random hypo's thrown in there...

ah, i'm sorry to say that in my experience if you are having consistently high (above 10's anyway) then it will make you feel more tired anyway, never mind the insulin you are on :( and the only way to combat it is by doing a little more exercise and bringing your BG down to better levels.

I feel your pain! it's hard to get the balance right, near impossible! I have to admit feeling loads better since I started using levimar. I've recently cut down my carb intake but it's too early to tell if it's having an effect or not yet  :)

Hi,
Daft as this sounds, try drinking lots & lots of cool water throughout the day. If I don't drink regularly, I also feel tired & my BGs are also very good.
Slow acting carbs are also good at releasing energy over longer periods as long as your insulin compliments this.
Give the water a try. I hope it works!
