im desperately looking for someone either in my area (macclesfield/congleton) or just someone my age with diabetes to talk to, (im 22). im really struggling atm, my blood glucose is all over the place and im back and to from manchester royal infirmary every few weeks atm. Is there anyone who can help??? lol would be really good to spk to someone the same age as me as i dont know anyone else with diabetes at all. much appreciated if u can!!!! lucy

Hi Lucy,
My name is Tracey and i am a 42. I am a ttype 1 diabetic and have been for 36yrs. Are you a type 1 or type 2 diabetic?
You could try watching the amount of carbohydrate you are having. I would do regular blood tests, before meals and then two hours after and before bed, do this for a least a week to see what sort of pattern you get.
If you are suffering any stress that can raise bg.
I was wondering if you work? otherwise i find if i do a twenty minute walk this can decrease your sugar level if it's running high, any exercise will do, but if you are suffering hypo's (low sugar) then carry glucose or a sugary drink.
I could try and help you a bit more if i know what typpeof diabetes you have.
