is it is just me?

I think I have an answer.

If you don't agree with certain people you are accused of being negative. They refuse the bigger picture and alternative point of view.

Edit to say that is why some people give up and do one.

Disagreement is fine but calling people 'Evangelists'(Like you did on the other thread) just because they have found good diabetic control on a low carb diet that works for many and then stating that a crowbar would be needed to open the bowels on such a regime is negative and not true.

Sorry but its not, the level of fibre you need as you get older increases. It is not negative on that regime I and it was me I was talking about would be taking laxatives like they were going out of fashion.

There was a "low carb" is the only way to go attitude that totally ignored the situation of the original poster.

After four years of LCHF I don't have a problem getting enough fibre from my diet and definitely don't need laxatives, I'm no spring chicken either as I'll be sixty next year.

I am now on a lower carb diet than before I joined the forum but still much higher than most would call 'low carb'.
lrw60,
I think that this is the essence of things your carbs have become LOWER. It is this that is important , not that you have reached a magic figure, rather that you have improved YOURS !
e.g. 90g carbs/day and HbA1c of 6.1 is good for one, cr*p for another and bl*dy marvelous for a third !

i wished i was a little more scared, id probly get into trouble less :D

I've not posted anything for quite some time. I have been busy with life's challenges and not really been able to prioritise activity here over those challenges - even though I have popped in from time to time.

I feel quite bad about that as this forum has helped me to attain excellent control of my Diabetes and I will be eternally grateful for that!

I feel I haven't given enough back by supporting the newly diagnosed as much as I would have liked to recently but, unfortunately, other challenges have to take priority.

Hopefully things will calm down and I'll get back to posting and helping where I can sometime soon.

I'm sure that in the meantime I won't be missed all that much, if at all.

i havent missed you hehe we are bugs :)
