Just a quick question: i just had a skin prick test, and my readinv was 4.2 which i know is ok. Questio. Is, does this mean i don't have any chance of having diabetes? My symptoms at least suggest so, are these tests 100% acurate? Thanks

Hi there Tim. 4.2 is in the normal range of where you would want to be. They are around 80% accurate I believe.

If you are worried though, please go to your doctor and have it checked properly; especially if you have been noticing symptoms. Even if you are not diabetic, the symptoms could be warning you about something else.

All your result tells you is what your blood glucose levels were at that time. Nothing about whether or not you may get or have got diabetes.
