Hi, Until recently I had a run of good low readings (5, 6, 8 and 9)but for the past fortnight or so, the readings have jumped up ( high teens). I'm at a loss to understand why. Could the hot weather put my readings up?

It could have done, Lynn. We all react differently to hot/cold weather.

Please do ensure you keep your fluid intake up, as dehydration definitely wouldn't help.

I am experiencing the converse, that is, during the very hot weather my readings were lower than usual, but today was cooler and they have shot up.

You telegraphed that joke didn't you............you are a star.....

Errm - try not to go too far off topic otherwise there may be times when a forum guardian (aka Moderator) may need to step in and express an official opinion on such diversions...

And @lynbrown, getting back to our hot topic, I've had some weird readings recently, but I think they may have been more due to a minor bug rather than the heat, but I definitely find that a hottish bath raises my levels and several other forum members have said the same about hot showers. So heat appears to have an effect!
