I had a kidney stone a few years ago and it was analysed as being 95% oxalate, so I was advised to avoid high oxalate foods To prevent reccurrence. There are other types of kidney stones that aren’t high in oxalate, so unless the OP knows what their kidney stone was made of avoiding oxalates may not be necessary. For instance, patients are often advised to avoid foods with a high oxalate or sodium content, such as almonds, rhubarb and spinach.
