Don't drink a lot of hot chocolate, maybe once or twice a week, occasionally I want alternative to coffee, alternatively are there any dairy free alternatives so that I can make a milky coffee

Double cream (although not a dairy alternative) is great in drinks? Do you have problems with dairy?
As for drinking chocolate you could take so very high cocoa content choc like the Lindt Excellence 90% Cocoa melt it and add to whatever milk type substance you like?

I use cocoa powder (Green and Blacks or Bourneville). That is the pure cocoa, not some pre-mix.
Then I just blend the cocoa with double cream and/or water to make a paste, add my preferred sweetener, and pour on hot water, stirring thoroughly.

Because this is home made and not filled with anti-caking agents, powdered glucose syrup, defatted milk and other rubbish, it takes a little more effort than a sachet or jar premix, but you can tweak it to your heart's content with more or less of every ingredient, til you have it perfectly adjusted to your taste.
Don't skip the paste-mixing step or you will have cocoa lumps floating on the surface, which is pretty unappealing.

There are LOTS of various LC hot chocolate recipes across the internet, with cocoa, real chocolate, dairy substitutes, spices, booze and flavoured essences. All very easy, and usually MUCH nicer than some generic packet...

Have a look at these:

Too much milk blocks my sinuses and also I no longer like the taste and smell of warm milk

Have found in Sainsburys a pouch of Hot Drinking Chocolate. Its described as chocolate drops (they look like buttons) and is pure cocoa with no sugar added. I must add that it seemed expensive, when comparing the size of the pack to others, but actually it makes a similar number of portions. The flavour is of a very dark chocolate. You will need to sweeten it. On the pack it states can be made with Almond or soya milk.
Enjoy

Hot cocoa with no sugar in it? I tend to drink it really strong as an alternative to a pudding. I have 3 tsp cocoa powder in half a cup of milk with cream on the top. No sugar needed. Fairly low carb and really yummy!
(the only carbs come from the milk)

Humans that only take.
Hehe, I have a mug with a stirrer built in bought as a gimmick for Christmas by the kids.

It makes epic hot chocolate, cream, start stirrer, sprinkle coco powder, add hot water and hmmmmmmmmm

Freedom Choc Shot - can buy it in Sainsbury’s and taste is really good considering it’s low carb.

Low carb? The stuff on your link is 52g of carbs - of which 45g is sugar - per 100g.

Personally, I just use 100% cacao in hot water, maybe with a bit of cream. It takes a little getting used to if you've been in the habit of drinking what's sold as "drinking chocolate" in the UK, because that stuff is so sweet. Once you're hooked on that real chocolate kick, though, you'll never go back.
