I wonder if anyone has come across any research documenting diabetes and getting your spine aligned by a chiropractor? I have found a few articles that said if your spine is out of alignment it doesn't help your blood sugar levels. I'm in no way saying get your spine fixed and voila!! I'm only wondering if anyone else has heard of this. Many thanks x

I see a chiropractor regularly because it's about the only relief I get from sciatica apart from copious amounts of cocodomol which I'd rather avoid. I mention that first because I think if there was a connection, my chiropractor would know and she's never mentioned it. I'll ask her when I see her next. My chiropractor studied for 5 years and is entitled to use the salutation of doctor, so no charlatan.

If your in pain because of your spine is out of alignment then it makes sense that bg levels will get better once the problem is resolved, pain causes stress which result in higher bg levels due to the the hormones that are released to combat it.
