Blimey, they are spinning off into some sort of sugar crazed dimension there aren't they?
I followed the link to have a look around their site and found this in the 'advice' on alcohol -
"Serious hypoglycaemia can occur with larger quantities of alcohol, particularly if you are treated with insulin and especially if too little carbohydrate is eaten. If this could apply to you, always make sure you take some carbohydrate before going to bed after drinking. Useful snacks include toast, cereal and sandwiches, although chips or pizza on the way home may be an easier, albeit unhealthier, option."
So, there you have it - if you are going to booze heavily don't forget to eat chips and pizza too.
Also, is there a jovial type of hypoglycaemia? And what if you've been drinking beer ? Then on your way home all that pizza is just going to add to the stratospheric blood sugars you will have worked up.
This is almost like a spoof site testing irony to the limit ...
By the way, try saying "as a diabetic you really should be eating plenty of carbohydrate" in your best Roger Moore accent and it does become quite funny...
