two slice of toasted wholemeal bread with two boiled eggs and tea with milkIt depends on what you consider a spike I guess
In general, a rise of more than 2 after a meal is considered a "spike".
Personally, though, I try and keep my 2 hour increase below 1. What did you eat for breakfast?
Try one slice and test .... bread (as many say here) can be murder .... and yes, I know, i once LOVED toast.two slice of toasted wholemeal bread with two boiled eggs and tea with milk
A rise of 1.4 is perfectly acceptable. I expect a rise of 2 after my meals cos I still eat carbs. Even non diabetics get spikes, it's perfectly normal. In fact as far as I'm concerned, I don't view it as a spike, just normal, a spike to me is a rise of 4 or more.are these figures considered a spike....pre breakfast 5.8.....2 hours after breakfast 7.2
I would say no but if you're unsure whether it's on it's say up or down test after 3 hours as well.are these figures considered a spike....pre breakfast 5.8.....2 hours after breakfast 7.2
