Hi Everyone, I recently went into a local Asian shop (one which I have never been in before) and asked for coconut powder/flour. When I got home and had a proper look I realised that he had given me very fine desicatted coconut. Can I use this as coconut flour?
Thanks, Deb

Have a look at Tiana's website, thats the coconut flour I buy.

Tiana is defatted - & higher carb than the 'simple' ccn flour.
per 100 g
carb - 26 g (sugars 8 g)
protein - 19 g
fat - 17.5 g
fibre - 39 g
energy - 413

I buy CCN flour from local Indian shops & is NOT fine desiccated CCN. It's a powder.
per 100 g
carb - 6.4 g
protein - 5.6 g
fat - 62 g
fibre - 23.5 g
energy - 604

It you've dess. ccn, try it.

Thanks to both Dawnmc and IanD for the information. I had thought that what I got wasn't the real coconut flour, thanks again, Deb x
