Am I ok to take this or will it raise my blood sugars?

It depends on what it actually has in it. What does the nutritional information state for carbs?

Nothing on the bag and when I look on the website it says no nutritional information 100% creatine ethyl ester

Assuming the bag is correct, 500g/166 servings is 3g of that stuff per serving, which is going to do very little, even if it was 100% carbs.

Edit: It's an amino acid. It might affect the BG levels, but it'll be indirectly, rather than directly.

Test & compare to normal. It'll probably be fine though.

It looks like it's just creatine (EE) isolate. If that's the case, it shouldn't raise your blood sugar. Note: You will want to make sure you drink plenty of water as creatine will increase water retention (in your muscles).

I take Creatine (monohydrate) every morning before going to the gym. It's widely considered to be perfectly safe and should have no effect on your glucose levels.

I normally take a Creatine/Caffeine/Taurine blend before the gym. It's great for a quick lift for lifting.

What about whey protein will that raise blood sugar or does it depend on brand??
That's a difficult question to answer but the general consensus is that a high concentration of protein all at once can cause hyperglycemia in people with type 1. However, there have been studies that found this did not occur in (most) people with type 2.

Either way, be careful of "Weight gainer" supplements as they have ridiculous amounts of carbs (100g+ per serving in some cases). That would be a huge mistake. What you want is a whey protein ISOLATE which should have less than 5g of carbs per 25g of protein.

Well im type 1 so I'll defo stay clear of weight gainers. Any proferred brand of whey protein isolate that is lower in carbs then the others

I own Optimum Gold Standard Whey, but I'm not sure if that's available in the UK. I use the word "own" because I have no need to drink protein shakes and prefer to get my protein for food that tastes much better. There's 10 pounds currently sitting in my pantry.

Ok cool I'm sure I can probably order that somewhere lol.
Thanks for your help
My advice is to buy a 2lbs container and see if you'll actually use it. I tend to "inherit" protein from friends and family who go on a temporary health kick and then decide to never drink it.

2lbs should easily last you a month which is plenty of time to decide if you'll keep taking it.

Am I best to get unflavoured? Because I saw a jaffa cake flavoured one but I'm guessing that will be added carbs and sugar

Again, I personally think you're wasting your money buying protein powder, but if you're going to go through all of the trouble to take it every day, you might as well get one that tastes good.

The Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Mint and Salted Caramel flavors are my favorite. They're sweetened with artificial sweeteners and taste alright mixed in water (in milk they taste amazing, but I don't drink milk anymore).

EDIT- I've never tasted the unflavored stuff, but I would guess it tastes awful.
