Lesson #1 - ONE thing at a time .... why so many messages from you over issues that have been covered before. Just what is bothering you? You have great figures so time to research and follow thru perhaps?

.
To Mike D .. I dont want appear rude , as i am not like that, but if you think i am asking too many questions dont bother replying to them .. please just ignore them .. am sure i am like lots on here like myself ,frightened and scared as i have only heard about being prediabetis ..am sure there are other folk who will give me some help and be more understanding ..

We are here to help dvd. Neil has covered it as have others. If you don't want / like the responses then don't post the continual messages. Ever thought of that ?

Hi Neil BTW :)

That would be fine for me. Skim milk in the tea by any chance? That might affect your BG.
Try the same menu again another day and see what happens. It's all trial and error (mostly error, I find). Also, if in doubt at the test result, test again immediately on the other hand.

You also have the option of not replying.
Sometimes people are very confused and anxious and are trying their best to understand things. They often need reassurance before they can move on.

Hi DVD, it is a natural response from many of us here, to be very frightened at first the diagnosis and the consequences of what that could mean.

You have been diagnosed 'Pre' as I was, and only wish that I had been as pro active as you at the beginning.

You numbers seem be be very good from what we have seen here, and as you are now taking action with your diet then they will improve somewhat but probably not as much as someone who has higher numbers than you as they will be able to reduce further.

What you have to do is keep them within Non Diabetic range. That you are doing...............................See below Look at the mmol/L line

You can see from this chart that you are well within the Non Diabetic Range. You can quite happily move up as high, with single spikes of 7.8mmol/L and NICE say for us diabetics 8.5mmol/L max to be OK.

Most of us on here try to stay or want to stay in the ranges you are posting, and lot would be envious.

So yes you have to take this seriously, which you are doing but try and have a look round at what others are posting, i.e. have a look at the threads

T
his will put your figures into a little more perspective.

Hope this helps

I would love those readings! They are excellent.

Anything under 6 fasting is very good, and anything under 7 after eating is also good control.
The NHS guidelines say up to 8.5 after eating is good, but that may be a bit too generous. Under 7.8 is better, under 7 even better..

NEVER be afraid to ask questions.
