Is this serious

It's something that people have been working on for a while.
Basically you'd wear a continuous gkucose monitor, and it would be attached to your insulin pump.
They'd be able to communicate, so it would automatically increase / decrease the amount of insulin you got,
There would be nomore blood tests, and no need for actually telling hte pump what to do, hence, closed loop device. No input from us needed at all.

It'd be like having an artificial pancreas, blood sugar goes up, automatically more insulin. Goes down, automatically less.
I want one now !! lol

Hello Martin,

Yes, I agree with the others. Your BGs seem much too high, but without knowing the timing of your meals it's very difficult to check the results. Something you could add to your oral health routine is a good acid-free mouthwash. My dentist also recommends using a rechargeable electric toothbrush with a timer, so you know how good a clean you're getting (two mins per session is good). You might also be brushing too hard if you're using a manual toothbrush. But if your gums are bleeding like they're cut you have a problem. Get to a good dentist and have a thorough check up. You can find local NHS practices by searching on WWW.NHS.org.uk. Hope this helps. Thea

the closed loop system is still in the testing stage. The children involved had perfect reading all night but they are now trying to master the input needed for exercise etc.
