Is this what the diabetes midwife meant?....

Hi Newby here,
I have recently had a preconception meeting with a diabetes midwife and had my coil removed. However it would appear that there is a possibility I could be pregnant. I did a test on Friday which was negative however I had drank 1.5ltr water that day. However my bloods are suddenly a real challenge. 1hr after meals I am verging on hypo and this is now happening all day every day. I have reduced my doses and I am still eating the same foods so I cannot understand why. I am going to re-test tomorrow as I have other symptoms (which I guess you can find anyway if you look hard enough). Is this possibly to do with pregnancy?
Thanksx

Hi.
Welcome.

You have come to the right place if it's answers and advice you want. You may need to adjust your Insulin and/or Diet. it's very difficult to suggest anything with no knowledge of the type of foods you eat.

I am T2 and a mere male so not really the best person to advise Re: Pregnancy etc. I do know the basics

There are some very well informed people on here who I am sure will assist you any way they can.

Good luck

Ken

Thanks for that.
I am type 1 - insulin controlled and was diagnosed in September last year.
Last HBa1C 5.6% (I am very anal about blood control I guess)
It is really frustrating when I had such good control until last week when I suddenly keep getting very low and hypo. Even had a middle of the night hypo which has never happened.
I have reduced my dose already on the basis that it had happened more than a couple of times for the same meals (which I am perfectly happy with :D less insulin suits me)
Being fairly new to it all I just wondered if there was anything else that could cause me to keep consistenly going so low when I have had such good control until now.
Any advice is appreciated
