Has anyone had this or got any info about it please?
Have lost my hypo symptoms and saw consultant today who said he will refer me to the nearest hospital to maybe get this done. Other options are a pump/try animal insulin/pancreas transplant. Currently and for the next couple of months I am having less insulin to keep BG high to see if that will bring the symptoms back.
I wasn't expecting the islet cell transplant option so I hadn't thought of any questions to ask about it. My main questions are (a) is it via donation or are they manufactured (b) what sort of immuno suppresants are required.
