Itchy hand and feet

Hi, I have been diagnosed with Type 2 for nearly two years now. I have noticed recently that I have a terrible hunger pain most of the time and itchy skin especially the soles of my feet and hands. I have recently had my HBc1 test which was satisfactory. Does anyone have any ideas or has the same problem?

Hello and welcome. What was your HbA1c level please?
Hunger pains to us are often a sign of an imbalanced diet if we are low-carbing.
Hands and feet symptoms in diabetes vary a lot, but itchy skin over a wider area might be something for a dermatologist or other specialist to look at.

Hi there you have my sympathy as I too suffer from itchy hands and feet. This can happen throughout the day but more often or not it affects me late evening and/or bedtime. That's when the itching is at its worst and it stops me sleeping. I have spoken to my diabetic practitioner and podiatrist but they are at a loss.
