Type 1 Itchy skin

I’m type 1 and have been for about 15 years now but I’ve never known this problem?

I’ve had itchy skin on my back for about a week maybe and as I’ve researched, it could be diabetes related.
Is it normal for diabetics to have itchy skin especially on the back with spots or do I need to get this checked out?
 
Hi and welcome to the forum we on here cannot diagnose.
But I would say that if it is normal for diabetics or not it is obviously not normal for you so I would get it checked out if I where you.

I will see about contacting a doctor and get them to check as it’s not normal for me really
