Hi all I've been type 1 for over 30 years now with no complications until last year when my toes started to itch and have small red marks on them only the big toes .
I've seen my doctor who said its chill blames and keep my feet warm .
But they itch no matter if cold or warm so I'm not sure it's chill blames . Well my question is , is there any creams I can use to take the itch away .

Hi @Eddie106 and welcome to the forum. We aren’t allowed to diagnose on the forum, however maybe ask a pharmacist if they can advise on what you could use to alleviate the itching.

Hi @Eddie106 , welcome to the forum.

What type of doctor did you see for your itchy toes?
If it's been a year I suppose you've seen your diabetes nurse or endocrinologist during this time, those are the ones to ask about possible diabetic complications, not your GP.
If you can see a podiatrist specialised in diabetes, even better.

It may be chillblains or it may e something else, but with 30 years of diabetes under your belt I'd want to have it checked out properly by someone who knows about diabetic complications just to be sure.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Eddie106

I suffer from chilblains on my hands in winter, and they were only diagnosed after many visits to nurses and drs when I saw a dermatologist. He prescribed tablets and an ointment, so if you get no joy anywhere else, that's the route I took.
