I think self flagellation might be another thread - maybe even another site! I don't have 'I would kill for a piece of bread' cravings - I've had to be careful with wheat for a while because of IBS anyway - but the dinner plate looks a bit bare without potato, rice or pasta.it was either coconut block/oil or self flagellation to take my mind off it, I had bad carb cravings for the first few days.
It all depends how well you 2 are getting on whether high fat and high carbs is a good idea, If he's a keeper you could cut the carbs back a bit
If you don't drink enough then my understanding is that you end up with water retention (if I'm wrong please tell me, everyone) so you struggle to lose. Try and aim for 10 glasses! I know it's lots but....Thanks Scandichic. I'm rarely conscious of thirst. 2-3 cups of coffee a day is usually my lot, very little water, no fizzy drinks and seldom alcohol. I must have been getting most of my fluids from food as I have quite good skin, not dry at all. I'll try harder with the water.
