Hi Amberella,
I used to work in Arizona and it can get extremely hot in September. Pleasant up in the hills around Flagstaff and Sedona, but down in the valley in Phoenix it was 130F the day I arrived in mid-September - and the locals were relieved it had started to cool down!!
