This tweet references a study, but when viewing the study I can't open the tables.
Luckily the tweet shows Table 2.
Note how the top line of the table shows M.I. risk (myocardial infarction or heart attack) for those with a cholesterol of 6.3 mmol/L or higher.
Those with the lowest trigs share virtually the lowest risk for ANY cholesterol level. This risk then increases roughly 3x, then 5x, then 9x as the trigs level increases.

Takeaway : high cholesterol is not harmful in itself, but in the presence of high trigs M.I. risk increases 9 times.
