It's working!

@Bluetit1802 - yes, I am recording the numbers and what I'm eating and how it's cooked and how many i.e. x2 eggs (for scrambled egg) and the type of milk I'm having in drinks.

Someone advised me to test about an hour after eating (can't remember who it was now) so I was trying to aim for that but didn't quite manage it!

No harm in testing after an hour, but if you do, you also need to test at 2 hours to make sure you have come down sufficiently. Just testing at 1 hour won't tell you anything at all, neither will inconsistent or random tests.
 
Not necessarily as it affects everybody differently.
I suppose we can agree to disagree on this point. In my opinion, breakfast cereals are just part of the high carb low fat government recommended diet that is not healthy for any person.
