So I've been having problems with the sure-ts coming off for a while and am never completely confident that they will stay in. The pump rep suggested using an iv300 to cover the site before inserting the sure-t. I had tried it with the silhouette and it had worked well. It felt very comfy and more secure but my levels over the last few days have been much worse than they have recently. I'm not sure if my needs have suddenly changed dramatically (I'm 22/23 weeks pregnant and haven't had to adjust basal for about 4 weeks), if there is an issue with the insulin or if there is an issue with the sets put in this way. I've put in a silhouette this morning (I changed the sure-t twice) and am planning on basal testing through the night :(.

Has anyone else had an experience where the sure-t efficiency is reduced by putting something in between?

I'm not familiar with Sure T's or IV300, but it's not impossible it's pregnancy-related. My insulin resistance seemed to come on quite suddenly sometimes.

On the other hand, it is a bit of a coincidence. Coukd you try experimenting with a day with no IV300 and see if your levels improve?

The sure-ts are the metal needle. I needed them in because they're comfier in my leg and I needed my stomach clear for a scan. I'm on silhouettes again so will see if it goes better. My bad time seems to be evening/night. I think I'll get the rates sorted and then try another set and see if it is set related.

When I was pregnant my worst results were always in the evening after eating. For me, I found this was my evening bolus as much as my basals. I had to up my ratio for that meal a lot, and most of my correction doses were for after my evening meal. I wondered if it was just that time of day when the insulin didn't work as well. I found walking about after eating helped too.

I don't know if that's at all relevant to you, but I thought I'd mention it :)
