Type of diabetes
Type 2
So I'm 31yrs old female, and I have type II diabetes and I take Metformin 750mg, I have had a rash for about a month I would say it strikes an itch and its raised bumps its on the left side of my stomach area around there.
I went to the Doctors not long ago she said it's a mild form of shingles, She gave me Valcyolovir and a strong steroid called methylPREDNISolone 4 mg tablet but I also have a slow immune system, and it hasn't healed yet after taking all these pills It still itches, and it's still like a pinkish color now, I never had this before any other ideas how long can shingles last, and can shingles really be a mild form?

But I thought only older people get shingles though, and they get the painful ones, But this does tingle and strike up an itch.

I've had shingles twice and I'm 44. My advice is try and keep the rash cool, that really helped reduce itching for me. You could also go back to doc and ask for further ideas.

This was what it looked like before so I guess it's stages of healing

I've had shingles twice. I was 19 and 33, so the age thing doesn't always apply.

Not had it myself but understand with some people it can take a long time to go away

It took my mother and Aunt over 6 months to get over shingles, but with an anti viral drug it doesn't usually take that long. I would definitely go back to your GP.
