Potatoes are starchy carbohydrate so high in carbs.
There are 25.2 carbs per 100 gms in a baked jacket potato and, as the average baked potato is about 250 gm then that is a lot of carbs.( 63 gm of carbs! :shock: :shock: )
If you must eat potato then keep the portion very small and test before and two hours after to see the effect it has had on your blood sugar levels.
