I wear a bracelet that I ordered on-line from a company called Sticky J. Can't remember the web address, but if you google medical ID it comes up - that's how I found it.

I like my bracelet because it is not a standard medical bracelet - I find them quite ugly and bulky. It is a simple silver chain which has a plate attached, with the medical symbol and then I have had "type 1 diabetes" engraved on it.

It arrived really quickly in a little red pouch and wasn't too expensive either.

Hi Vee, There are some lovely ones on here http://www.staysafejewelry.com/ it's an American site though although that's not usually a problem, depending on your internet spending.

I did see a UK one a while back when i was looking for myself, although it was expensive they had some lovely jewellery on there. If i can find it again, I shall post it on.

Regards
Claire

forgot to add, ID jewellery is also known as 'dog tags' too, just thought I would mention it as that is what I googled to find the site above and also the one i was looking at a while back.

I have a medic alert...not very pretty! I also have a keyring, which I got fromthe bay of e. It was very cheap, but does the job! Being a girl, and having had a serious hypo twice now, I can tell you from personal experience that ambulance crews will go through your handbag...and my bg monitor and insulin pens gave teh gane away!

Still a good idea though...and saves teh embarassment of the rather sweet ambulance chap having to sift through all teh rubbish at teh bottom of my handbag!
