I've decided to start jogging today!
Taking it slowly with a few minutes of walking in between (I'm not a very fit human being!)
What I want to know is if anyone else here jogs and how do you prevent hypos?
I'm on a 2:10 ratio but before exercise I'm going to change it to 1.5:10.
I like exercising and am trying to lose weight but I find that I hypo every time and end up eating more than I've burnt off trying to fix it!

Thanks in advance.

I'm giving this a go at the moment too.

Not going to lie, I've had some pretty bad lows recently which I put down to exercise. I've yet to hypo during, but in the hours after I tend to go low

I reduce the bolus for the next meal like you said, I also snack (10g) before I start and often reduce the basal too.

These things may work (kind of) for me, but everyone is different. Trial and error I'm afraid!

The following website is for type 1's who enjoy participating in sports, take a look as there's plenty of advice about reducing insulin doses and such:

Thanks for the advice guys!
I'll check it out.

Well, I was too scared of hypoing to go for my jog and put on a pound and half at weight watchers this week!

Onwards and upwards!
