As it says in my bio thing, diabetes set me free and I utterly mean that. My addiction to food especially carbs, was what took me to ill health and 21 stones. Cravings are so much easier to cope with (yep, I still get them) and I will NEVER go back to my former life but the food issues that plagued me 10 years ago, still niggle on.
I simply can’t eat two squares of chocolate or a handful of peanuts (oh my days the salted peanut craving can be a *******) and if I make a low carb treat, it all gets eaten until it’s gone so I don’t have any of it anymore. If I make a meal, however much there is, I’ll eat it all. Consequently, I have to be strict with all my food but it’s so much easier than when I was eating crisps or hot buttered toast!
Does anyone else have the same issues?
