Just been told I need to 'test less'

I'm really lucky with my gp. Could not be more supportive. I was diagnosed just over 12 months ago with type 2. Recognised the symptoms as mum T2 insulin and dad T2 meds. I have a glucose meter and strips on prescription with strips whenever needed 100 at a go. Meds issued on 3 month batches. They encourage self management and the diabetic practice nurse is a specialist. Never been an issue getting repeats for anything.

My bloods are still a bit erratic but getting there with lots of support.

That is lucky, a lot of T2s have to pay for their own strips. Also welcome to the forum :)
