Just Diagnosed Type 2 ....Gutted

Hi I have just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a bit gutted as it was not what I initially thought was wrong.
I have been suffering from cystitis and itch for over a year and have been diagnosed with 3 different conditions and was still suffering from symptoms .After some researching on Internet made an appointment with nurse took a urine sample and asked to be checked for Diabetes . To cut a long story short blood Glucose sitting at 16 and AC1 came back at 100. I have started low carb diet and been put on Metformin , but it's playing havoc with my stomach and that's only on 1 ....will these symptoms pass ....any advice greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome. For some the stomach problems with Metformin pass after a week or so. For others, they need to ask the GP to swap them to Metformin SR (Slow Release) which is kinder.
