Thanks guys. I will just have to keep asking, been refused today for a referal when I went in to be told I'm type 1. She said hospital clinics are only for diabetics with poor control or complications which is rubbish!! Don't need to see an Endo or anything she said just my annual review at the GP surgery
There's another way. If you get a reading like that, go to A & E, and when you see the doctor, tell them your GP won't refer you to the diabetic clinic. The A&E can refer you too, I believe.See I'm genuinely concerned about the care I'm getting. I had a high level (over 31.5 as my meter.just displayed HI ) and because this was before the gad test.they had me as.type 2 and told me I didn't need to test for keytones as 'that's only type 1' luckily I sourced a blood keytone monitor and the next time I felt rough I tested and I was 1.5! I just don't trust my care at the gps
