Hi I'm Flicc,
I just joined a few days ago after being told about this site from a fellow Diabetic.
I have had diabetes for 13 years now, and I am still finding it difficult to deal with.
I have just started going to a DAFNE/PASTIE course which I was finding extremely helpful.
But basically I am here to find other fellow diabetic's out of the 13 years of having it, I have known about 3. So it would be nice to talk to others about common things.

Hey Flicc.. quite a few of us type I's about! feel free to pop into the type I area and ask any questions you have..
 
a Pastie course. that must have quite a few carbs in it ha ha!!!!

welcome to the forum. im not diabetic but my daughter is and i find this forum brill for education advise and occassional rant xx

Hi Flicc, I too am T1 and find this forum indispensable, I was diagnosed 15 years ago but still struggle with control. Its bizarre that diabetes is supposed to be rife but I only know two other T1s and that's only because of work. It's great to read all of the posts on the forum, although sometimes I am a little jealous when I see complaints of high BG readings at 7+ I can only dream of control so tight I consider 7 to be high!! Welcome and I am sure you will find support and often lively discussion on here. :)
