Just starting Metformin

Purplenan

Newbie
Hi everyone. I've recently gone into type 2 range after being pre-diabetic for about 4 years. I am about to start Metformin as I've had nerve pains in arms and legs. I take Menopace tablets for post menopause and have been since my total hysterectomy in 2008 but forgot to ask doctor if it is ok to still take these with the Metformin. Just wondering if any other ladies are taking Menopace alongside Metformin? I would call doc to ask but its the weekend now.

Hello, and welcome, @Purplenan.

We are not able to advise on medication for individuals. However, I do have personal experience of taking HRT and Metformin, without problems.
If you prefer to have medical advice first, perhaps a phamacy could assist you. Pharmacists often have better advice than GPs on medications and how to take them.

HI. Thank you for your reply and welcome. I'll do as you suggest and have a word with a pharmacist. Best Regards
