Ketone Tester vs glucose Tester

Hello Everyone,

I am just looking for help.

my doctors have given me a normal glucose blood machine.

is this the same as ketone tester ? I have done research but am still unsure

No - the usual devices test the level of glucose in the blood in mmol/l in the UK - I believe the test strips for a ketone tester are rather expensive. Can you tell us why you are testing your blood?

Some meters can use both blood strips and keytones strips but a go rarely prescribed keytones strips as they are expensive

There is an interesting looking meter that tests for both simultaneously but it expensive

I have a Caresens Dual, which measure glucose and ketones. Different strips required for each and yes as previously mentioned the ketone testing strips are very expensive
