Ketone testing

Just received my machine and have done my first test....

....not impressive at just 0.3, which is normal and suggests not in a Keto adapted state.

I wonder if I really messed it up on hols last week, although my BG levels are fine and stable.

A bit more effort required Mr Potts before my second Lipid panel and A1C on the 14 July:)

What I do like, is that I can now get accurate numbers, so no kidding myself!!

It will be interesting to see your results:)

I have 3 weeks to get a grip again and make sure my first 9 weeks effort pre hols was not wasted.

Renewed effort has begun immediately:)

So I've tested again today and woooo....I am 0.9, which is well above the threshold of 0.5 normally associated with fat burning (Phinney et al).

I started running and gym again following the excesses of my hols and battered myself into submission.

It will be interesting to see what my 7 day fast starting this Sunday does.

Somewhere between 1.0 and 3.0 is expected:)!
