Ketones but not diagnosed

Hi my oldest son who is 10 was diagnosed type 1 just over a year ago but now I am worried my youngest son is going to develop it. I have smelt the ketone smell on his breath and I done a test on him to see and it was positive but his blood levels were normal and he doesn't have any other symptoms of diabetes. Has anyone else ever experienced this before ?

Hi,

If he was my son and with your description, I would take him to A & E after lunch so that they can take blood samples for further tests.
