Ketones.....

I think it depends on the level - quite a lot of bodybuilders stay in a 'ketonic' state in order to burn fat! You also get small amounts of ketones from not eating.

For a diabetic? With a high amount? Not too long! You'd develop ketoacidosis and get very ill very quickly.

Are you ok, OP? Have you got ketones atm? x

Ahhh glad you're back home. Things like urine infections are a ****** and bump up your levels/ketones so quickly!
Hope you're feeling back to normal soon :) x

Isn't there a difference between ketosis (body builders and weight-losers) and ketacidosis (out of control levels or illness)?

I thought ketosis is not such a bad thing, whereas ketoacidosis is really dangerous.

Can anyone confirm?

Sam.

Persistent headaches are not good for anybody and may be a sign of some other condition, unrelated to Diabetes.

You need to discuss with your GP and possibly get some much more effective Medication than OTC meds.
