I have a lot more weight to lose (I am now merely obese, as opposed to morbidly obese and I'm aiming to be simply overweight by the end of the summer  ). It hasn't been the easiest of years as I'd had a major lapse at the end of last year, problems with chronic pain and an op on my foot in April and a weekend of partying with lovely cakes a couple of weeks ago...

Low carbing for 3 years and I have just started to use these Ketostix. There are 6 different colours you could have. Discounting the negative colour, the ketone colour range covers 5 different shades of pinky purple.

The sticks tell me I'm having ketones - in the mornings they are in the middle one - the third of five. Later in the day, it is the second shade of the five.

Where are you on that scale? Do you get any variation?

And from my reading of the threads above, do the sticks really mean anything if you are a long term low carber. I seem to recall Libby still turns hers purple from the 4% club thread... And how long does it take your body to lose its abilty to burn fat?
